Founded by Ivana Hrushowy, Pear on the Prairie Counselling takes its name from “hrusha” (груша), the Ukrainian word for pear, reflecting both her heritage and connection to the Prairies.
The name symbolizes her approach, inviting thoughtful and compassionate exploration of the stories that shape who we are.

Located in Calgary, Alberta, Pear on the Prairie provides accessible counselling to teens (16+) and adults in both rural and urban communities across western Canada.
